Avoid That Smell - The Way Family Church Greeneville TN
According to Peter our new spirits are born of “incorruptible seed” and our spirits are “partakers of the divine nature”. The new spirits we have received are incorruptible because they are born of God’s spirit and therefore like God’s spirit. They are “divine”. The Greek word for divine is “Theios” which simply means “Godlike”.
God cannot sin. Since our new spirits are like Gods they cannot sin. This is the immediate work of the Blood applied by faith to a lost person’s life. We get a brand new, recreated, incorruptible spirit that has the same nature as our Father who is God. Wow!
Eternal security? You better believe it. Otherwise Peter was very confused and the “seed” we are born of is not “incorruptible” and it was capable of producing something other than the “divine” nature.
Now….all that being said when we are born again we don’t get a brand new incorruptible body or a brand new mind that is divine. Oh no. We’ve still got to deal with the same old bodies and minds we had to start with until the day arrives that our spirits are joined with new, incorruptible, glorified bodies and minds.
While we will not get an incorruptible body or mind in this lifetime we have been given a powerful cleansing agent that can make them “clean”. This is exactly what the “Water of the Word” will do. If we will take the time to wash ourselves it the water of the word it will clean us up to the point we are able to make “life giving” choices.
You see if we don’t wash ourselves in the “water of the word” we’ll continue to make choices and decisions out of our lust. James 1:14 says our lust gives birth to sin. We know sin always results in death. Even though our spirits are alive if we continue to allow our lust to give birth to sin we will constantly experience “death filled”, miserable, unfulfilling, destructive situations in this life.
Just as our lust gives birth to sin we can see in James 1:17&18 “the word of life” conceives something. The word of life gives birth to good things that come directly from the father. These good things from the Father bring life.
If we will wash ourselves in with the “water of the word” then and only then can we cleanse our minds and bodies to the point where we are able to act, choose and make life giving choices based on the word!
Listen….It takes both to live an abundant life now. Blood and Water. Jesus said he came so we could have life and have it more abundantly. To that end he gave us the blood but never forget he also gave us the water. John 19:34 clearly takes the time to point out from Jesus’ side flowed “Blood and Water”. In Lev 14 1-6 it is clear the cleansing for leprosy (a loathsome disease of the flesh) required blood and pure water.
Every decision and choice we are faced with will be made from our lust and bring sin and then death or will be made based on the word and bring good things that result in abundant life.
Let’s choose life. Let’s wash ourselves in the water of the word. We must fill ourselves with the word daily. You can’t get washed and stay washed from going to church on Sunday morning. Do you just take one bath or shower a week? I’m glad I don’t go to church with people who bathe one a week. What a smelly place church would be. Likewise if we wash in the word once or twice a week or never at all what smelly lives we will lead.

Go on and sew while you're crying! The Way Family Church Greeneville TN
“5They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. 6He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
All of us find ourselves in places of sorrow or trial. This scripture says in times so difficult they bring us to tears we need to be sowing. If we want our weeping to turn into a joyous harvest we must plant even when we don’t feel like it. Proverbs 18:20 talks about sowing seed with our mouths, and reaping a harvest. It says “with the increase of his lips shall he be filled”. When we speak God’s promises in the middle of sorrow, trouble and trials we sow faith filled “seed” sure to produce a joyful, filling, increase.
If we wanted to grow corn would we plant one seed? That obviously wouldn’t bring us much yield. Likewise if we want to reap a joyful harvest we can’t mutter a promise from God once and quit. We need to speak the promises of God over and over planting as much seed as we can.
If we will sow when we feel like crying this Psalm says it is “doubtless” we’ll rejoice in a harvest. Look at that promise! “Doubtless”. Don’t let sorrow, trials, or despair keep you from sowing the seed of God’s word through your lips today. Your weeping will soon turn to a joy filled harvest.

Make A Joyful Noise! The Way Family Church Greeneville TN
1Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. 2Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Beleivers,
Be encouraged to enter into the Fathers presence today. The enemy will tell us we can’t enter in because of what we have or haven’t done. Wait a minute…Exactly who are we praising? Who are we worshiping? Are we praising and worshiping ourselves? No, no, no. We are praising and worshiping the Most High God.
Therefore what we have or have not done is irrelevant to praise and worship. Praise and Worship is about what God has done and who He is. Hallelujah! Praise Jesus because He Is Worthy. Worship the Father because He is good. Worship the Lord according to His Excellent Greatness! Don’t miss out today. Regardless of what you have or have not done enter in. Be refreshed in his presence. Praise and Worship is not about us. It’s about Him!

Do We Need To "Find A Vision"? The Way Family Church Greeneville, TN
It’s true the Holy Spirit will use different believers to reach various groups of people in different ways. That being said we should never confuse effective ideas or methods of outreach with “vision”.
The overlooked 2nd half of Proverbs 29:18 says “but he that keepeth the law, happy is he”. What a change of message when this verse is put in context. You see the perishing who “have no vision” don't know God's word and therefore simply can’t see! If I tried to walk across the Greene County in utter darkness I would fall off a steep ledge or step into deep water that was over my head or just trip and break my neck. No matter the specific peril I’d encounter death. I would “perish”. The reason “he that keepeth the law” is happy is because The Law is a Light. Yes, yes, yes! Ps. 119:105 says “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path”. Gods’ word gives direction. Obeying Gods directions keeps us from “perishing”. Obeying Gods word keeps us from taking steps that bring death and destruction into our lives.
Choose life! Fill yourself with the word so you can see clearly and live. Read your Bible Everyday , do what it says and you’ll walk happily in the light.

As Believers We Have A Secret Weapon - The Way Family Church Greeneville TN
Psalm
Allow me to remind you Neh 8:10 says “the joy of the Lord is your strength”. Have you been feeling weak? Do you struggle to live for Jesus? Does it sometimes seem like you just don’t have the strength to do what the Father would have you do?
As Believers we have a secret weapon. It’s Joy! The world confuses Joy with Happiness. Don’t make that mistake. Happiness is based on “happenings”. It will come and go based on “what happens”. On the other hand “happenings” have no bearing on Joy. Born again believers can enter into the presence of God regardless of what is “happening” around them.
Go to Church every opportunity you get because we are instructed not to “forsake the assembling of ourselves together” but don’t wait for Church. Spend time with God EVERY DAY! Read your bible, talk to God, listen to Him, Worship. Live before the Father 24/7. You will find supernatural strength. Don’t wait for the sweet by and by. Stay in his presence and live a Joy filled, overcoming, victorious life today right here today in the nasty now and now!
Proverbs Is Sweet As Honey - The Way Family Church Greeneville TN
Proverbs 24:13-14 says “My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste. So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.”
A honeycomb holds honey. Wisdom is like a honeycomb. Wisdom holds something very sweet. It holds “the knowledge of wisdom” or put another way, wisdom holds Godly knowledge.
If you put a piece of honeycomb in your mouth you get a sure reward. The sweet flavor of honey. This scripture promises if we will put wisdom in us and then live our lives using the Godly knowledge wisdom brings we will receive sweet rewards. There are no if, ands, buts or maybes. If we apply our hearts to wisdom and act in the knowledge wisdom brings this scripture says “there shall be a reward”.
Will we live lives filled with devastation and destruction or will we lives filled with sweet rewards? The Father wants us to live lives filled with sweet rewards. The book of Proverbs is filled with wisdom and the knowledge wisdom brings. This book has 31 chapters. I encourage you to read the chapter of Proverbs each day that matches the date. For instance today is October 25th so read Proverbs Chapter 25. This will take you through the book of Proverbs once each month.
If we will do our part to fill ourselves with wisdom the Holy Sprit will equip and empower us with the knowledge we need to make Godly choices. Then we can live lives filled with sweet rewards.

Pastor Ken
